The Hard Part: Starting
More often than not, the hardest thing will be coming up with an idea to use for your story.
InspirationAh, INSPIRATION!, the enemy of writers everywhere.
A good way to go is to start with a small and simple idea. Try thinking of something in your life, that you know really well and are really interested in. Then start with a sentence or two, or think of something you've always wanted to do. If you've been given a prompt, GREAT! Prompts are sentences that start your story for you and from there you can create a world around it. Always try thinking about situations from different point of views and always start small then work your way up. |
