Essay Writing with TEEL! Never Go Wrong!
Have you been asked to write an essay? Got no idea where to begin? Or do you just like having the structure of it set out for you? In any case, this is for you! The general pattern is an upside down triangle (or an inverted triangle, if you want to get technical), this is how we can imagine an introduction to look. Next we have 3 rectangles - these are our body paragraphs. Finally, we have our regular triangle which represents our conclusion. All together they make an ESSAY!
Introductions
The first part of actually writing or planning your essay is the introduction. In the picture you can see that there are three main areas. Click on the 'inverted' triangle to learn more and get some tips and tricks on how to write a really good introduction.
Body Paragraphs
Once we've introduced the essay in a clear and interesting way, the next step is to actually get our point across. We need to convince or persuade the reader of our opinion on something or inform or advise them of something and using these rectangles are the key.
Conclusions
Ah! Now, once we've written our 3 very well structured, clear and logical points, we need to wrap this essay up and finish it. In other words, we need to conclude it.
